ukenide as one

Well today when my 2 yr old son was playing my ukulele but had played and taken out my first uke 'Buzz'(cause I felt sorry it's been sitting for song long UN-played) a not very nice sounding Samick u-50 or something like that... anyhow my son is left handed and picked it up upside down and started fingering out some chords... then found "I walk the Line' In one of my easy to play uke song books.




Before you know it, he was picking the melody lines(upside down) as I was strumming along the chords... Then he started making jokes about being the Jimmy Hendrix of the ukulele.. funny for sure!




I have been playing for about 6 months and no one in my house ever expressed an interest.. It was fun, even if it was a simple song, nice that someone expressed an interest in what I am doing... maybe a uke bug catching on?




i was thinking to send Ralph to the uke claz in titiwangsa. 've found that he have an interest on music and dance so i make a decision to send him to the musaic class and dancing


class..


hope he make me proud 1 day..

cara kecikkan peha

Aku rasa, ini merupakan antara soalan yang popular ditanya kepada aku oleh gadis-gadis diluar sana (lelaki jarang ada masalah ini): “didy, macam mana saya nak kecik kan sikit paha saya ini, badan saya dah ok, BMI dalam range idle, tapi paha ni… =(” Sebelum aku menjawab soalan ini, ingin aku tekankan yang kita TIDAK BOLEH menumpukan/fokus untuk buang lemak pada bahagian-bahagian tertentu badan, seperti dalam kes soalan tadi (dalam english dipanggil spot reduced), kecuali dengan menggunakan teknik liposuction yang ternyata menyakitkan, mahal, dan membahayakan kesihatan. Tuhan telah menjadikan dunia ini adil – kalau turun berat badan, bererti turun semua, dan kalau naik berat badan, naik semua. Tiada istilah ‘turun lebih lemak kat perut dan yang lain mantain‘; dan kalau betullah ada spesifik teknik atau senaman yang boleh dipraktikkan untuk spot reduced, maka sudah pasti kita dapat melihat ramai jejaka diluar sana yang berbadan tegap tanpa perut menbonjol (boroi). Namun, sesetengah individu mempunyai keistimewaan untuk spot reduced lemak pada sesuatu kawasan otot utama (otot dominan badan yang bekerja lebih seperti kaki, tangan). Selain daripada faktor genetik dan hormon, langkah-langkah berikut boleh diamalkan untuk spot reduced lemak berhampiran kawasan otot utama (seperti otot paha).

Ikuti 4 langkah mudah untuk ‘mengecilkan paha’ ini dan InsyaAllah anda pasti dapat melihat hasilnya dalam masa sebulan.

1 – Wujudkan defisit kalori Kekerapan: Setiap hari Anda sudah bosan mendengar aku menyebut perkataan ‘Kalori’? Tetapi itulah hakikatnya. Kurangkan pengambilan kalori harian dalam 500kcal daripada yang sepatutnya (DCR). Ambil jumlah protein yang mencukupi untuk membantu mengekalkan otot peha (dan otot bahagian badan yang lain) ketika proses penurunan berat badan. Berapa jumlahnya? 2g per Kg berat badan sudah mencukupi (sebagai contoh, mereka yang mempunyai berat badan 70kg harus mengambil 140g protein, yakni kira-kira 5 ketul ayam bahagian dada. Namun anda boleh pelbagaikan sumber protein).

2 – Senaman fokus pada paha Kekerapan: 3 kali seminggu Fokus pada senaman yang melibatkan otot quadriceps (peha depan) dan hamstrings (peha belakang). Antara 2 contoh senaman yang boleh dilakukan ialah ‘Lunges‘ dan ‘Squat‘. Bagaimana nak melakukannya? Boleh search di laman Youtube dan taip kata kunci ‘Lunges exercise‘ atau ‘Squat exercise‘. ‘Lunges‘ boleh dilakukan dengan dumbell, atau tanpa dumbell. Aku cadangkan buat dalam 3 set untuk setiap senaman, dan satu set senaman mempunyai 10 ulangan. Jika anda mahukan lebih penjelasan, atau inginkan cadangan senaman yang lain, sila kemukakannya di ruangan komen.

3 – Senaman kekuatan dahulu, baru cardio Kekerapan: 3 kali seminggu Lakukan senaman di atas sebelum memulakan kardio (jogging). Ini untuk memastikan anda sudah menggunakan sehabis mungkin ‘muscle glycogen‘ dan ‘liver glycogen‘ menerusi senaman-senaman tersebut. Dan apabila anda memulakan jogging, badan mungkin sudah kehabisan sumber- sumber tenaga tadi, lalu menggunakan sumber tenaga alternatif yang terakhir iaitu lemak. Ingin mengetahui teknik kardio yang tepat untuk tip ini, sila baca Kardio – Katalis kepada ‘Fat Burn’ . 4 – Rehat Harus diselang-selikan dengan senaman/kardio di atas. (Isnin senaman/kardio, Selasa rehat, Rabu kembali kepada senaman/kardio, dan begitulah seterusnya). Rehat penting untuk membolehkan badan, terutamanya tisu-tisu otot bahagian kaki untuk ‘dibaiki’. Otot paha yang kuat akan membakar lebih lemak-lemak disekelilingnya ketika bekerja. Namun, aku tidak nafikan, anda akan kehilangan ‘sedikit’ otot paha yang berharga ketika fasa weight loss ini, atau sekurang-kurangnya mengekang kehilangan otot tersebut. Diet dan rehat yang mencukupi sangat mempengaruhi jumlah otot yang terurai dan hilang bersama-sama lemak.

Jangan lupa, ambil gambar peha anda dengan iPhone 4 sebelum dan selepas sebulan mengamalkan tip-tip ini. Buat mereka yang bertanya aku soalan ini sebelum ini, semoga kalian berjaya. Good Luck!

A LOVE LETTER


Dear Danny,

It has been the most amazing 2years of my life and I've already done things I have yet to actually realize. We have come a very long way and stuck by each other's side through a lot of pain. You have shown me what its like to love and be loved and that's my happiness. It's all I need to have the most amazing life I can possibly have, and thank you for it. You've helped me understand a lot of things people don't think I understand or think that I'm allowed to understand which is what is making me a very strong person. I have a lot more respect for love and people who have it. To be mature, you have to be an adult. But to be in love, you have to be nothing but a human being with a heart. That is very much true. No ones parents should prevent their children from falling in love with someone because of their age and it's not allowed. You can't stop love, and you defiantly shouldn't put your own feelings on hold because someone is telling you "You're not allowed to love him because you're too young." You are everything to me, my life really, and I'm not going to give that up. I can't live without a life.

Sayang, you are one of a kind and how people can say the things they do about you is beyond me. I don't understand why people don't see you the way I do. In my eyes, you are the most amazing person. You understand me and care about me more than anyone else has ever even thought about. You are so caring, and wonderful. You're lovely. We have a healthy relationship that is going to last a life time because you and I are willing to work at anything that needs to be worked at.

Danny, we are going to make our lives amazing along with someone else's. We are going to have an amazing family and an amazing home to live in. I know now that what we have is so very truer because I can see myself in you. I can see us in you, in your eyes. I wrote this letter to you from my heart. From mine to yours.
